TOOL: Create a “NO Thinking Allowed Zone”

Have you ever started thinking about something and then you get trapped by your ego (negative thoughts) saying all sorts of abusive things to you? Let’s call this type of thinking exactly what it is = self-abuse.  That’s right. Allowing your ego to take over your thoughts is a form of self- abuse. Do you want to allow your negative thinking take over your life?  Why would we do this to ourselves? Do we think we are bad? And we must be punished? Like children?

We are not bad. We are either listening to the voice of fear or the voice of Love. Choose consciously at every corner to listen to the voice of Love. As soon as the voice of fear and thinking arrives, shut it down and use the motto “I am not going there!”

Create a “NO Thinking Allowed Zone” for yourself.  A sacred space. Creating a space of no thinking is a form of self love. Have you noticed that the more you think about things the worse you feel? Instead of thinking try just feeling and shutting down thinking. Choose to follow things that feel good. Go easy about life. Afterall life supposed to be fun! When we get so serious with our thinking we tend to zap the fun right out of our lives.

 Make your mission in life to feel good and let go of thinking. If you cannot possibly feel good, then what can you do to find relief? Follow these feelings and shut down the thinking part of you. (also done through meditation) Search for a healthy form of relief like music. Try out this new approach to life and feel your way through things rather than THINK. Shut down your ego and experience feeling. Experience life.

If you think your way through things you can get carried and swept away by your voice of fear and the mind that knows all about the past. The past does not define your future.  You may find yourself on totally other topics seemingly unrelated if you let your mind wander. Ever want to quit something because it just did not feel good? Then do it! Why put your feelings through such turmoil with all your mind chatter?

Do you have a feeling that you are in the wrong place? This could be your wise-self and intuition speaking to you. I encourage you to listen and pay attention to your feelings. Hear these messages and spend time feeling them.  If you are going through a struggle ask yourself a simple question: What would feel better?  Visualize the relief. Then visualize the choice that led to feeling good. Trust that only good things can flow to you when you are acknowledging your feelings and choosing to feel good at every opportunity. This is a turning point for you to be able to take all your challenges and turn them into opportunities. Make these opportunities to feel good and then feel good in the now.
